Patchouli coated with sandalwood, the past softened by the prism of time. The first imposes its harsh, autumnal, humid, and leafy notes. The second, drier and rounder, balances this woody harmony. Cade essence joins them, revealing itself in a halo of smoke to better mystify them.

This exotic leaf, which reached our nostrils via the Silk Road, intoxicated the bourgeoisie of the nineteenth century as well as the hippies of the twentieth. Patchouli evokes a desire for elsewhere, for exoticism and mystery. The essence of paradoxes, its fragrant side, rounded off by tonka bean, sandalwood and tolu balsam, succeeds in reconciling revolt and the "establishment". Never earthy, it recalls the dry leaves of the shrub, like the opulent silks that carried its sweet and intoxicating scent.

The main producer of patchouli is the island of Sumatra in Indonesia, where the best quality essential oil with the highest patchoulol content is found.
