A universal ingredient, vanilla is the fruit of the wild orchid. We wanted to return to this exotic fruit, to this black pod that we open with joy to release its sensual sweetness. By moving away from the gourmet and very sweet vanilla, we restore this substance to its ancestral depth. Its scent is creamy and powerful, sensual but never sticky. In Une Vanille, black vanilla from Madagascar is accompanied by tonka bean with almond facets. A final touch that transmutes the original scent of this fruit whose aroma alternately plays between sweetness and power, obviousness and mystery, so natural and supernatural at the same time.

An essential note in perfumery, vanilla ranges from sweet and creamy to woody and spicy, with facets of leather, caramel, and tobacco. Our vanilla absolute is grown in the Sava region of Madagascar, the world capital of vanilla harvesting with ancestral expertise.

In the early morning hours from October to December, the "matchmakers" locate the vanilla flowers ready to be fertilized and delicately bring the pistil and stamen together. Following the harvest, it will be processed and extracted in workshops in Grasse. Due to its rarity and high demand, its price can approach $600 per kilo.
